In 2002, the most comprehensive study on Indonesian National Innovation Landscape was completed. The study was named PERISKOP or Program Evaluasi Riset Sains Teknologi untuk Pembangunan, a cooperation of the Indonesian Ministry of Research and Technology with the German Federal Ministry for Education and Technology and the Fraunhofer Institute.
The objective of PERISKOP is to strengthen the Indonesian National Innovation System (SINAS). Moreover, the project is supposed to provide synergy to the Science and Technology Incentive Programmes offered by KRT and the Ten Indonesian Economy Recovery Programmes (ERAP).
To our knowledge, the PERISKOP project provides the first comprehensive and complete investigation and assessment of Indonesian national and regional SRT landscape including the relevant framework conditions.
